Be a PR Hero

We rely on PR volunteers from across the United States for this awesome new community service; they are our PR Heroes.  By volunteering, your time commitment is what you want it to be.  If you are available when we hear a good story from your local market, we’ll turn it over to you to share with local media.  We'll give you the tools and information to develop a great local pitch.  And, of course, we’ll brag about you and your results on our website, Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, and our channel on YouTube!

Being a volunteer means you want to hear about stories from your hometown and, when available, you would be willing to pitch to media when needed. It’s that simple.

Reasons to volunteer:
  • Fantastic networking: You’ll be part of an elite team of PR professionals from across the country. Are you a PR student? Great! We need your help too, and you'll learn from some of the best and brightest in the industry!
  • Build Media Relationships: The most successful PR people know that you have to build relationships with reporters… imagine the hero you’ll be with reporters (and the people you help) when you pitch and place a meaningful community story.  You’ll simply be sharing a great story from your community that has been vetted and factually verified… it’s an assignment editor’s dream come true!
  • Using your expertise to serve the community... it’s just good karma.  This is a true community service and this site will never seek to make a profit. However, it is invaluable to everyday people and small charitable organizations who have awesome stories!
Be a PR hero.  Volunteer today.
